Chris is a Director of Perritt & Associates, a boutique consulting firm that specialises in Strategic Advisory in Rewards & Workforce Consulting. Chris has 20 years’ experience in this space, having previously held several roles at Mercer Australia, including Chief Operating Officer for Mercer Workforce Solutions, Business Leader for the Pacific Rewards and M&A practice, and Senior Principal in the Rewards consulting team. Chris has also previously held a number of roles at Hay Group (now part of Korn Ferry) including Executive Rewards Practice Lead and Job Evaluation Practice Leader.

Chris has a diverse 35-year career that includes 18 years Human Resources and Rewards consulting experience, along with 15 years operational experience across the utilities, broadcasting, retail, defence, higher education and hospitality sectors. This broad expertise base enables Chris to help clients from all sectors develop and implement effective integrated business solutions.

Chris’s areas of consulting expertise include reward strategy, executive and employee reward, incentive design (STI and LTI),  job evaluation, job architecture/career framework development, and M&A (HR Due Diligence, carve-outs, stand-ups and post-merger integration). He has worked with clients from a range of industries, including Construction, Mining, Oil & Gas, Financial Services, High Tech, Education and Higher Education, Defence, Travel, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Professional Services and the Public Sector.

Chris’s corporate experience includes hospitality (restaurant) management and a range of roles in the broadcast industry, which included leading a two-year workplace change and technical process-reengineering project across three states. He also held the role of Capability Manager at a Western Australia based utility, where he was responsible for planning and initiating an organisation-wide cultural change and capability development program. In addition to Chris’s civilian career, he has been a member of the Australian Defence Force since 1991, having served in both the Royal Australian Navy and the Australian Army. He currently holds the rank of Warrant Officer Class Two and is the Bandmaster of the 4th / 3rd Royal New South Wales Regiment band.

Chris is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He holds a Master of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management, a Master of Project Management from the University of Sydney, a Master of Employment Relations from Griffith University, a Bachelor of Music (Performance) from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, and an Associate Diploma of Music Performance (Saxophone).
